Job summary

ACE Consulting Group is seeking a Foreign Military Sales Senior Engineer to lead cradle-to-grave Systems Engineering for naval aviation programs. The role supports the FMS Program Manager and APME to ensure rigorous SE practices, LOAs and technical baselines for multiple countries.

The candidate will craft technical requirements, oversee SBLOAs, integrate risk management, and coordinate with cross-domain SMEs to ensure airworthiness, testing and sustainment across platforms.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years of recent and relevant experience, with 3+ years in Naval Aviation SE.
• MS or MA in Engineering or BS with substitution as allowed by policy.
• Must be eligible for access to classified information; U.S. citizenship; Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support FMS Program Manager and APME to ensure Systems Engineering rigor and quality in LOAs and technical baselines.
• Develop documentation for each country supporting airworthiness objectives; sustainment, safety and readiness.
• Oversee SE process management: requirements, artifact development, SETR events and trade space analyses.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts across NAVSEA/NAVAIR domains; lead risk management efforts.
• Plan and execute system integration, interface management, and production/retrofit upgrades.
• Manage configuration control (ECPs, RFVs, CRs) and obsolescence solutions; assist LOA/SOW/CDRL preparation.
• Support budget planning and program acquisition activities; travel CONUS/OCONUS ~1–2 times per month.

ACE Consulting Group is seeking a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Senior Engineer. The program office FMS team performs cradle to grave Systems Engineering processes and enforces Systems Engineering rigor for all technical baseline development in the FMS cases. The candidate will directly support the FMS Program Manager and APME in ensuring Systems Engineering rigor and quality technical requirements and processes are included in the FMS LOAs, and that robust technical development, testing, and sustainment is performed for these platforms. Engineering supports the development and delivery of documentation for each country to support targeted airworthiness objectives. Engineering also supports sustainment, safety and readiness of delivered systems.

Requirements

• Foreign customer engagement
• Systems Engineering artifact development (e.g. LOA technical & Se process requirements, SE funding requirements, technical requirement specifications, etc.)
• Flight test planning, testing and execution
• Communication and coordination of subject matter experts in other NAVAIR/NAVSEA technical domains
• Capability upgrades for both retrofit and production cut-in
• Oversee Systems engineering process management – requirements development, artifact development, requirements trade space, SETR events etc.
• Lead FMS Risk management efforts
• Manage and communicate safety hazards and resolutions
• Plan and perform system integration and interface management
• Configuration management – ECPs, RFVs, CRs
• Lead Obsolescence solutions
• Acquisition product development – LOAs, SOWs, CDRLs, etc

• Average travel approximately 1-2 times per month, CONUS and/or OCONUS

Education:

• Minimum 10 years of recent and relevant experience, 3 of which must be related to performing Systems Engineering functions in support of Naval Aviation, to include the Systems Engineering milestones and reviews of the Acquisition process and the associated documentation.
• MS or MA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline. A BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related scientific discipline AND an additional 4 years of recent and relevant experience (totaling 14) may be substituted for an MS or MA degree.
