Job summary

Raytheon in Aurora, Colorado is seeking a senior Hardware Engineering lead for onsite work. You will provide technical direction to the hardware team, review drawings for production readiness, and manage cost and schedule using Earned Value techniques.

Applicants should have a STEM degree with 5+ years in hardware design, procurement, and BOM management. An active Top Secret clearance is required to start, with SCI eligibility possible after joining the program.

Qualifications

  • Oversee BOM development and Raytheon procurement processes.
  • Support manufacturing and assembly processes per requirements and policies.
  • Learn and utilize SAP/PRISM for planning and tracking project needs.

This position is 100% on site in Aurora, Colorado.
What You Will Do:
  • Provide technical direction to the Hardware Engineering team for design and implementation activities
  • Review and interpret technical documentation and engineering drawings to ensure production success
  • Manage production cost and schedule reporting using Earned Value methods
  • Coordinate technical interchange meetings and communicate project status with program leadership and customers
  • Monitor team progress toward Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) milestones
  • Assist with feasibility studies and prepare Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates for project assessments
  • Oversee the development and fulfillment of Bills of Material (BOM) and Raytheon procurement processes
  • Support manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring compliance with requirements and policies
  • Learn and utilize tools such as SAP/PRISM for planning and tracking project needs
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience
  • Experience providing technical direction to hardware engineering teams for design and implementation
  • Experience with standard corporate procurement processes and BOM development
  • Experience with manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Experience with cost and schedule development and reportingAn active and transferable Top Secret clearance is required to start. Must also be able to obtain SCI clearance once in the position.
  • Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with deployment and integration of electronic equipment
  • Experience evaluating and mitigating risks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visio and PDF markup tools
  • Familiarity with large scale data management systems
  • Experience with ANSI & ASME standards
  • Experience giving technical briefs or presentations
  • Experience with the Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle, including requirements generation and updates
  • Proven leadership in schedule execution and management, with the ability to deconflict obstacles
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
