Job summary

Mondo is seeking a Senior Engineer for a 12-month contract in a hybrid Houston setup (onsite Mon–Thu, remote Fri). You will design, develop, and optimize enterprise-level software for renewable energy operations, automation, compliance, and accounting.

Responsibilities include building scalable applications, automating workflows, leveraging Snowflake, and collaborating across teams in an Agile environment. AWS experience and strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance applications for renewable energy plants and related accounting and operations.
• Develop automation solutions to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Work with Snowflake as a central data platform for enterprise applications.
• Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
• Lead technical design and coding discussions, troubleshoot complex issues, and resolve architectural challenges.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate coding and productivity.
• Review application performance, documentation, and existing systems to identify optimization opportunities.
• Mentor developers and contribute to technical planning within an Agile environment.
• Participate in rotational on-call support as needed.
• Strong experience developing enterprise-level software applications.
• Experience building and deploying applications within AWS.
• Experience working with Snowflake as a data platform.
• Proven ability to design, develop, test, and implement scalable software solutions.
• Experience integrating applications across operations, accounting, risk, and compliance.
• Understanding of automation, optimization, and modern software development practices.
• Ability to leverage AI-assisted coding tools effectively.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
