Seeking a Senior Engineer - Electrical/Electronics Engineering to support Collins Aerospace electronics products in the post-production environment. This cross-functional role focuses on troubleshooting, product improvements, redesigns, and technical support across engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and program teams.

What You Will Do
  • Troubleshoot electronics hardware related to field returns, Zero Hour returns, yield issues, and production test failures

  • Debug and support production test solutions

  • Perform electrical analysis, part evaluations, and circuit-level troubleshooting

  • Support obsolescence and cost-reduction redesign initiatives

  • Drive product improvements and investigate recurring hardware issues

  • Provide technical input and review for Supplier Requests for Information (SRIs)

  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional engineering teams

  • Conduct Obsolescence Health Reviews (OHRs) by evaluating Obsolescence Health Reports and coordinating with the Obsolescence team.

  • Perform part comparison analyses and develop engineering recommendations for alternatives.

  • Support redesign efforts to address part obsolescence, shortages, cost reduction initiatives, or product improvements.

  • Work closely with program chief engineers to provide technical support for the assigned programs and products.

  • Maintain project schedules, budget tracking, and weekly team meeting support.

  • Interface with program teams, suppliers, and cross-functional partners to ensure alignment and timely execution.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years priorrelevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing or hardware troubleshooting environments preferred.

  • Experience with schematic capture tools such as Cadence LTSpice

  • Ability to perform various electrical design analyses (such as Stress, Performance, Stability, etc.)

  • Familiarity with electronics manufacturing test equipment and validation methods

  • Experience with failure analysis techniques (FMEA, root cause analysis, 8D, fault tree, etc.)

  • Ability to interpret and update electronic schematics, BOMs, and design documentation.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • Comfortable working independently and effectively collaborating within cross-functional engineering teams, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
