Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks an Associate/Graduate Electrical Engineer to join the team in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana. This role reports to the Principal Engineer, Electrical Operations Engineering, and supports Operations, Maintenance and Engineering to ensure the Plant Electrical System operates safely, reliably, and with minimal downtime.

You will work on switchgears (138kV, 4.16kV, 480V), MCCs, UPS, transformers, EMS/SCADA, and electrical system studies while helping develop procedures, KPIs,

Qualifications

• One (1) to four (4) years’ experience in a process plant environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Application Suite.
• Familiarity with Power Systems Modelling Tools such as ETAP/SKM preferable.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with specialization in Power Systems.
• Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of the complete Plant Electrical System and assigned tasks including switchgears, MCC, UPS, transformers, EMS/SCADA, and electrical system studies.
• Support the development and maintenance of company procedures, KPIs, metrics for Electrical, and electrical drawings/databases.
• Support the Management of Change (MOC) process.
• Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process.
• Provide day-to-day troubleshooting support to Operations & Maintenance Groups.

Summary

We are seeking an Associate/Graduate Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Plaquemines Parish Facility in Louisiana. This role will report to the Principal Engineer, Electrical Operations Engineering and will be responsible for supporting Operations, Maintenance and Engineering groups for matters regarding the Plant Electrical System. The role will be part of a team responsible for ensuring that the Plant Electrical System operates as per design, in a safe and reliable manner with minimal downtime.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

• Candidate will develop knowledge and understanding of the complete Plant Electrical System, equipment and will be assigned tasks including but not limited to:
  • Switchgears (138kV, 4.16kV, 480V)
  • Motor Control Centers (MCC)
  • Uninterruptable Power Supplies (UPS)
  • Transformers
  • Energy Management Systems (EMS/SCADA)
  • Electrical System Studies
• Support the development and maintenance of:
  • Company Procedures & Processes
  • Key Performance Indicators & Metrics for Electrical
  • Electrical drawings and databases
• Support with the Management of Change (MOC) process
• Support Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) process

Qualifications

Required experience

• One (1) to four (4) years’ experience working as an Engineer in a process plant environment would be a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365 Application Suite
• Familiarity with Power Systems Modelling Tools such as ETAP/SKM preferable

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with specialization in Power Systems.

Licensing & Certifications

• Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
• Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license in good standing.
