Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Centennial, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Mount Vernon, Ohio, Beehive is committed to growing and advancing the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role can be remote but prefers candidates near our Loveland, Ohio, or Denver, Colorado facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, analyze, and evaluate turbomachinery components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and program requirements.
• Create detailed definitions of parts, modules, and assemblies using 2D, 3D models, tolerance stackups, and electronic data formats to support analysis, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
• Perform reverse engineering using scan data to create parametric models of parts.
• Ensure designs follow Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing standards.
• Support design reviews and collaborate across disciplines in design, performance, controls, and system integration.
• Communicate significant issues or developments promptly.
• Participate in R&D for additive design technologies and methodologies, advising on improvements leveraging additive manufacturing.
• Initially an individual contributor in a dynamic environment, with potential to scale to team leadership roles as the organization grows.
• Document technical data in accordance with engineering best practices.

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Industrial Design.
• At least 6 years of experience designing gas turbine components.
• Proficiency in design software (NX, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Experience handling 3D scan data and creating parametric models.
• System-level CAD, parametric modeling, and PLM/PDM experience.
• Knowledge of additive manufacturing technologies and design for additive manufacturing principles.
• Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Passion for additive technology and innovation.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Proven problem-solving and program management abilities.
