Job summary

You will mentor staff, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and ensure designs meet regulatory and budget constraints. Responsibilities include designing site layouts, managing stormwater, utilities, and roadways, securing approvals, and delivering projects on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 10+ years of land development and civil site work.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (SC or NC preferred).
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation.
• Strong leadership and staff-mentoring abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering teams in the design and execution of land development projects, including site layout, stormwater management, utilities, and roadways.
• Navigate zoning ordinances, regulatory requirements, and permitting processes to secure approvals and ensure project compliance.
• Present designs, updates, and recommendations to clients; serve as a trusted technical resource and project representative.
• Mentor, train, and guide engineers and staff to build skills, maintain quality standards, and support professional growth.
• Manage and oversee engineering teams to ensure deadlines, budgets, and project goals are met.
• Conduct engineering analyses and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with surveyors, architects, planners, environmental specialists, and other team members to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions.
