Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (required).
• 10+ years of experience in land development and civil site work.
• Active Professional Engineer license; SC and/or NC preferred.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, MicroStation or similar software.
• Strong leadership with mentoring and staff management experience.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams in design and execution of land development projects (site layout, stormwater, utilities, roadways).
• Navigate zoning, regulatory requirements, and permitting to secure approvals and ensure compliance.
• Present designs and updates to clients; act as technical resource and project representative.
• Mentor, train, and guide engineers and staff to uphold quality and growth.
• Manage engineering teams to meet deadlines, budgets, and project goals.
• Perform engineering analyses and develop cost-effective solutions.
• Collaborate with surveyors, architects, planners, and environmental specialists to deliver integrated solutions.
• Incorporate sustainability and innovation (green infrastructure, smart growth).
