Job summary

Artie, a San Francisco-based real-time data streaming platform, seeks a founding engineer focused on distributed systems. You'll help shape the next-gen data platform, interact with customers, and own cross-cutting infrastructure challenges.

You’ll contribute across Go, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform/Helm, and cloud infra, with opportunities to influence product direction and architecture.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in computer science style problem solving and system design.
• Experience building distributed services and APIs at scale.
• Comfortable jumping across frontend and backend layers and owning components.
• Experience with streaming data and change data capture concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build column encryption, analytics portal features, and schema-change alerts.
• Develop tooling to automate infrastructure workloads.
• Optimize data pipelines by balancing memory and disk usage.
• Create native CDC connectors to new data sources.
