The Core Data Services team is at the center of Data and Analytics initiatives. We are building a modern data platform to support enterprise data needs. Our mission, should you choose to accept, is to empower and enable our data community of data engineers, data scientists, analysts, product teams, and decision makers to create value.

The Core Data Services team consists of Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Data Enablement, and Operations teams. We are building a highly functional, performant modern enterprise Data Lake while supporting our current data platforms. Our focus is on maximizing functionality, creating value and content/data assets, cost optimization, and usability of data delivery and services. This is how we measure our success and define us — The Core Data Services Team! We are looking for a Data Engineer - Platform, You!

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

This is a hands-on Data Platform Infrastructure role that will leverage strong infrastructure and deployment automation skills to:

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain testable, secure platforms and infrastructure that are easy and efficient to use.
• Build the foundations of all critical software.
• Implement security products for building the data platform.
• Empower our product teams to take ownership of their software delivery at scale.
• Participate in on-call rotations/Pagerduty for data platform support.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid knowledge of cloud architecture principles for Big Data platforms.
• Experience with all phases of the software and system development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Go) for production software and automation.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization technologies, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
• Experience with runtime orchestrations such as serverless, container orchestration, batch, and real-time event orchestration.
• Experience in building CI/CD pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, Circle CI, Jenkins, Tekton, and deploying software and data architectures with strategies like canary or blue-green deployments.
• Familiarity with agile development tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stay current with data engineering trends.

The expected compensation for this position is:

$136,000.00 USD - $170,000.00 USD
