Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineer, Data Center Engineering (SDCE) to ensure all data center activities meet procedures and best practices.
You will oversee on-site operations, guide installation, and ensure change control is followed across ICE colocation sites. The role requires leadership of a small team of Data Center Engineers, strong IT hardware knowledge, and experience with DCIM, ServiceNow, and ITIL processes.
The Senior Engineer, Data Center Engineering (SDCE) is primarily responsible in ensuring that all activities carried out in the Data Center & Access Centers conform to Data Center procedures and industry best practice.
The SDCE will carry out Data Center work as directed, this work could be project based, or tasks received via incident management or workflow management tools. In all cases the SDCE will ensure that Change Control rules are followed, and support documentation is appropriate and correct.
The role will also be responsible for advising and instructing Operations Engineers as required and offering guidance on installation practices and fault finding as needed, on site management of colocation clients and third parties, ensuing security process is followed and maintained, ensuring all work activity is captured and updates entered into the Data Center management tool (DCIM), or into the workflow management/incident management tool, Service Now.
The SDCE will also estimate and execute Data Center capacity management for cables and power and space accordingly for projects on behalf of the Data Center Engineering team such and work with DCO or vendors to schedule associated project work and verify upon completion. This will be done for all ICE and ICE colocation customers.
