Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company in Cranberry Township, PA is seeking a Senior Engineer for APX Fleet Design Management to guide fleet design decisions and standardization for the AP1000 plants under development. The role is hybrid, with onsite work two days per week.

You will lead lessons learned integration, define delivery strategies for NI/TI, and collaborate with design, analysis, projects and supply chain teams to solve complex plant-design challenges.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree is required.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in nuclear plant design preferred.

• Facilitate evaluation of strategic technical decisions and drive to agreement across multiple partners.

• Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners, suppliers, manufacturers, and customers.
• Identify and define technical challenges, direct efforts to successful resolution.

About The Role

As a Senior Engineer for APX Fleet Design Management, you will guide fleet design decisions and standardization for the future fleet of AP1000 plants under development. You will report to the Senior Manager, APX Fleet Design Management and be located at in Cranberry,PA. The position is hybrid; you will be onsite 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead collection and assessment for incorporation of lessons learned into the fleet design
• Define delivery strategies for the AP1000 Nuclear Island (NI) and Turbine Island (TI), including standardization approaches

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
