Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Senior Engineer – Air Breathing Propulsion to advance propulsion technologies across missile and space systems. You will lead development, integration, and supplier collaboration to meet program goals, while interfacing with management and customers to define technical directions.

The role requires a BS in STEM and at least 5 years in propulsion, with eligibility to obtain the required US security clearance. Onsite work and DoD clearance requirements apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Three years of propulsion technology experience applied to solid propulsion systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Apply or develop advanced technologies for propulsion systems integration in missiles and space vehicles.
• Involvement with development and production programs across Raytheon product lines.
• Review manufacturing processes and work with subcontractors on solid rocket motor propulsion systems.
• Develop technical presentations for management and government agencies.
• Interface with customers to identify user needs and support program directions.
• Manage propulsion development projects and subcontract data; oversee supplier operations.
