Job summary

Collins Aerospace, a RTX business, invites a Customer Support Engineer to analyze field data, lead hardware investigations, and work with engineering, suppliers, and customers to resolve complex issues. You will develop service publications and support CRC during AOG events.

The role emphasizes root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and voice-of-the-customer improvements, with training delivery to internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (BSEE).
  • Experience with electrical components and aerospace electrical systems.
  • Aftermarket support or product, aircraft, or engine troubleshooting experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage audiences ranging from technicians to executive leadership.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering, operations, suppliers, and customers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze field reliability and operational data, presenting findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead and coordinate hardware investigations.
  • Collaborate with Project Engineering, Aftermarket Program Management, suppliers, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organizations, engine and airframe manufacturers, and aircraft operators to resolve technical product and system issues.
  • Coordinate the development of technical publications, including Service Bulletins (SBs), Service Information Letters (SILs), and Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs).
  • Support the Collins Customer Response Center (CRC) by responding to in-service technical issues and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) events.
  • Assist with root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and implementation to resolve recurring field and operational issues.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by driving continuous improvements to products and processes.
  • Develop and deliver product familiarization training.

What You Will Do
