Job summary

Amphenol Corporation is seeking a Sr. Technology Development Engineer to lead joining and bonding technologies for multi-material interconnects.

You will own technology selection, development, and implementation across ultrasonic, laser, thermal, induction, and mechanical joining methods. You will drive data-based decisions through DOE, thermal cycling, and aging tests, while translating concepts into scalable manufacturing processes and production-ready solutions.

Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in joining technologies or multi-material assembly processes.
Hands-on experience with ultrasonic welding, laser welding, thermal bonding/sealing, induction sealing, and mechanical joining.

Responsibilities

Own the selection, development, and implementation of joining technologies for multi-material interconnect constructions.
Lead trade studies and technology down-selection based on performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
Own system-level interface performance and validation programs (DOE, thermal cycling, accelerated aging, interface testing).
Translate joining concepts into scalable manufacturing processes with process windows and equipment parameters.
Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful production integration.
