Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks a Sr. Technology Development Engineer Advanced Joints and Bonding to own joining technologies for multi-material interconnects.

You will lead studies and validation programs and drive scalable manufacturing processes in a global production environment. The role requires 5+ years in joining technologies, hands-on experience with ultrasonic/laser welding and thermal bonding, and strong data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5+ years in joining technologies or multi-material assembly.
Hands-on with ultrasonic, laser, thermal bonding, induction sealing, and mechanical joining.
Ability to drive data-based decisions under manufacturing constraints.
Experience with design of experiments and environmental testing.

Responsibilities

Own selection, development, and implementation of joining technologies for multi-material interconnects.
Lead trade studies and technology down-selection based on performance and cost.
Own system-level interface performance and conduct validation programs.
Translate concepts into scalable manufacturing processes and specs.
Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams for production adoption.
