  • Perform entry-level engineering work activities and projects under an assigned supervisor
  • Apply engineering knowledge to accomplish objectives safely, effectively, efficiently, and economically
  • Solve well-defined engineering problems and provide analysis with guidance from higher-level engineers
  • Assist higher-level engineers with portions of complex problems and analyses
  • Coordinate others' work activities as required for routine engineering tasks
  • Prepare input for project planning documents, schedules, reports, and technical papers
  • Monitor project status and recommend actions
  • Prepare cost estimates
  • Apply basic techniques to resolve routine technical problems
  • Pursue opportunities to present new ideas and approaches
  • Support reliable electricity delivery while protecting and enhancing the environment
  • Develop understanding of department roles, responsibilities, workflows, policies, standards, codes, equipment, materials, systems, and business processes
Requirements
  • Entry level position for new graduates
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology is acceptable only if the candidate has obtained a certified Professional Engineering (PE) license
  • Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination is encouraged and preferred
  • Fundamental understanding of standards, codes and regulations relevant to the assignment
  • Knowledge of scheduling techniques such as CPM, PERT, and flow charts
  • Ability to prepare cost estimates using established standards
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with others and contribute to team decision-making
