Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks a Senior Engine Development Engineer to advance engine performance, durability, and emissions compliance through data-driven development, testing, calibration, and validation across gaseous and conventional fuels.

Responsibilities include leading design launches, defining system targets, validating components, and mentoring junior engineers while collaborating with global teams. Travel will be required as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related field.
7+ years of automotive powertrain/engine development experience.
5+ years hands-on engine and engine component development.
5+ years with engine calibration and control software (ATI Vision, CANape, INCA).
3+ years applying ATI Vision to engine control system development.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, validation, and launch of engine and power generation products.
Define engine system requirements, specs, and performance targets.
Develop, test, and integrate engine components and subsystems.
Analyze performance data and improve combustion efficiency, emissions, durability, and fuel economy.
Design, execute, and evaluate engine validation and qualification plans.
Create product specs, engineering docs, BOMs, and component requirements.
Use calibration and data acquisition tools to optimize engine control strategies.
Collaborate with manufacturing, design, validation, and engineering teams to improve manufacturability and reliability.
Support program execution by meeting development schedules, quality targets, and cost objectives.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on engine programs.
Travel as needed to support testing, validation, and engineering activities.
