Job summary

Peoples, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Lead Technical Specialist reporting to the Manager, Compressor Operations. You will supervise engine and compressor maintenance, direct operators and repair crews, and ensure emissions standards are met through testing and analysis.

You will oversee the maintenance program for 45 engines, 10 dehydration units, and multiple compressors, coordinate installation projects, and mentor new staff.

Qualifications

• Experience conducting engine and compressor emissions and load tests to optimize performance.
• Ability to supervise installation of new engine ignitions, fuel systems, and control panels.
• Training in 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine and compressor operations and repairs.
• Experience directing a maintenance program for engines and compressors in a unionized environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct operators and repair crews to run, tune, and service engines to meet emissions standards.
• Conduct in-house emissions testing and performance analysis of engines and compressors.
• Oversee annual trailer emissions tests conducted by contractors.
• Lead the maintenance program to meet manufacturer specs for services.
• Provide technical expertise for repairs and major overhauls and train new staff.
