Job summary

Peoples, an Essential Utilities company, seeks a Lead Technical Specialist to manage the engine and compressor maintenance program. You will supervise maintenance activities, emissions testing, and performance analyses for a large fleet of engines and dehydration units, ensuring compliance with permit requirements.

You will direct operators and repair crews, coordinate with bargaining unit leaders, and train new personnel to sustain high reliability and safety standards across the compressor

Qualifications

• Experience in conducting engine and compressor emissions/load tests and troubleshooting.
• Ability to direct maintenance programs for engines and compressors.
• Experience training and guiding operators and repair crews.

Responsibilities

• Direct operators to run, tune, and service engines to meet emissions standards.
• Conduct in-house emissions testing and performance analysis of engines and compressors.
• Oversee annual trailer emissions tests conducted by contractors.
• Lead the Compression Group maintenance program to meet manufacturer specs.
• Provide technical expertise for engine and compressor repairs and major overhauls.
• Help train new compressor operators and repair crew members.
• Ensure services are completed on the company’s 45 engines, compressors, and 10 dehydration units.
• Oversee gas dehydration unit maintenance using heated glycol and schedule checks.
