Job summary

Peoples, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Lead Technical Specialist to direct engine and compressor maintenance. You will oversee testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance schedules for multiple engines and gas dehydration units, ensuring compliance with emission standards and performance goals.

Reporting to the Manager, Compressor Operations, you will mentor operators and repair crews, supervise installations of new systems, and help optimize overall plant reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience with engine and compressor maintenance programs.
• Training in 2-stroke and 4-stroke engine operations and repairs.
• Ability to supervise maintenance activities and coordinate with bargaining unit leads.

Responsibilities

• Direct operators and repair crews to run, tune, and service engines to meet emissions standards.
• Conduct in-house emissions testing and performance analysis of engines and compressors.
• Oversee annual trailer emissions tests conducted by contractors.
• Lead the Compressor Group maintenance program to meet manufacturer specs for scheduled services.
• Provide technical expertise for engine and compressor repairs and major overhauls.
