Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services is seeking an experienced Senior Equipment Analyst to provide advanced diagnostic expertise for reciprocating engines and compressors. You will travel to customer sites, interpret complex data, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve performance, reliability, and emissions compliance.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years as Engine Analyst for low-speed units and high-speed engines.
• Expert understanding of machinery components and applications for compressors and engines.
• Advanced knowledge of valve analysis, balancing, and vibration analysis.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical resource for reciprocating engine and compressor analysis.
• Perform advanced equipment analysis using instrumentation and data.
• Travel to customer sites to collect data and develop reports with recommendations.
• Participate in commissioning, tuning, and AFR control system optimization.
• Conduct portable emissions testing and support corrective actions for non-attainment units.
• Review and approve analysis reports for accuracy and consistency.
• Develop standardized report-writing practices and technical documentation.
• Train and mentor entry- and mid-level Analysts.
• Act as liaison between Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, and customers.
• Represent Cooper during high-visibility engagements and provide sound technical judgment.
