Job summary

Anduril is seeking a Senior Energy Systems Engineer to design, develop, test, and certify high-density energy storage systems powering our maritime platforms. You will work with the Enabling Technology team to advance energy solutions in harsh maritime environments and ensure robust performance.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years of hands-on power system design, battery safety experience, and a solid grounding in energy storage and electronics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience in power system design and development.
• Experience designing and delivering high-density energy storage systems for harsh environments.
• Experience contributing to battery safety plans.
• Strong fundamentals in energy storage, electronics design, or product development.
• Experience designing high-reliability, mission-critical power systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and mature high-density energy storage systems for hardware and software solutions.
• Advance energy technology roadmap through validation and optimization.
• Support critical certification efforts including UN38.3 and NAVSEA 9310.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to integrate energy systems into product platforms.
• Develop technical specifications to meet endurance and safety requirements.
• Conduct testing, analysis, and validation of energy systems for certifications.
• Communicate development status and findings to stakeholders.
