Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering, economics, business administration, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or operations within the energy industry.
• Deep understanding of energy markets, technologies (solar, wind, thermal), and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and client management abilities.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver high-quality results.
• Familiarity with the South African energy context and challenges is highly desirable.
• Experience with renewable energy projects is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on strategic issues related to energy generation, transmission, distribution, and retail.
• Conduct market analysis, including supply/demand forecasting and competitive landscape assessments.
• Develop business cases and implementation strategies for energy projects, including renewable energy initiatives.
• Assist clients in understanding and complying with energy regulations and policies.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiencies within energy companies.
• Support clients in their transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy solutions.
• Conduct due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and investments in the energy sector.
• Prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, and recommendations for client leadership.
• Collaborate effectively with client teams and internal stakeholders.
