Job summary

Exelon is seeking an experienced Energy Acquisition leader in Oak Brook, IL to supervise a team responsible for procuring power, ensuring load forecasting accuracy, and maintaining SOX-compliant processes.

You will drive procurement strategies within the PJM marketplace, collaborate with Finance, IT, and Operations, and guide policy interpretations for retail and wholesale tariffs. A strong background in utilities and stakeholder management is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 7–10 years of business experience or 9–12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Familiarity with wholesale marketplace, OATTs and PJM business rules
• Familiarity with restructured retail marketplace and ComEd retail tariffs
• Demonstrated leadership and effective communication skills
• Ability to solve complex problems, make decisions, and resolve external counterparty issues
• Electric utility experience (preferred)
• Working knowledge of CC&B (preferred)
• Strong business and technology acumen (preferred)
• Experience partnering with IT and business stakeholders (preferred)
• Knowledge of utility billing, metering, settlements, or energy market operations (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Supervise, lead, and train department members on power procurement processes and load forecasting.
• Maintain financial controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance in daily operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic initiatives and procurement methodologies.
