Job summary

NVIDIA seeks a Senior Architecture Energy Modeling Engineer to join the Power Modeling team. You will build ML-based power models to analyze and reduce energy use in GPUs, collaborating with Architects, ASIC Design, and Performance teams.

You will develop workflows to train models, improve accuracy, and bridge early estimates to silicon. Equity and benefits are included, with a wide impact across NVIDIA's next-gen GPUs and Tegra SOCs.

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science was required or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in energy modeling, power analysis, or related fields.
  • Strong coding skills in Python and C++.
  • Background in ML/AI and statistical modeling for power estimation.
  • Familiarity with architecture, GPU/power/RTL simulation.
  • Knowledge of Verilog and ASIC design principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to develop energy-efficient GPU models.
  • Develop ML-based power/energy models for various design stages.
  • Train models using ML or statistical methods and improve accuracy.
  • Estimate data movement power/energy across design phases.
  • Integrate power models into performance and power reporting tools.
  • Prototype new architectural features and assess system impact.
