Job summary

Avista is seeking an experienced professional to advance long-term energy forecasting and methodologies to support optimization of the integrated planning process. You will develop and lead the medium- and long-term load forecast for electric and gas, influencing the integrated system plan, financial plan, and energy procurement.

The role requires clear communication to management, regulators, and public interest groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in economics, engineering, finance, math, business or related field; Master’s or doctorate preferred.
• Seven (7)+ years of progressively responsible experience in forecasting, economics, utility planning, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead Avista's medium- and long-term load forecast for electric and gas.Supports integrated system plan, financial plan, energy procurement, and related strategies.
• Communicate forecast drivers and trends to management, state utilities, and public groups.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build robust modeling approaches and forecasts.
