Job summary

The Brewer-Garrett Company in Middleburg Heights, OH is seeking a Senior Energy Engineer to lead energy conservation and efficiency projects for large facilities nationwide. You will design HVAC, building automation, lighting, and renewable systems and mentor junior engineers.

This role requires 5+ years in energy engineering, a Bachelor's in engineering, and readiness to travel up to 50%. U.S. citizenship is required for federal contract work, and occasional on-site client visits are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in energy engineering.
• Experience across healthcare, education, government, or industrial sectors preferred.
• CEM and/or PE license preferred.
• Prior leadership or mentorship experience a plus.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 50%.
• U.S. citizenship required due to federal contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, design, and implementation of energy conservation projects for large facilities.
• Conduct energy audits and analyze utility data to develop energy and cost savings estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, estimating, and project management teams throughout design and delivery.
• Present technical findings and project recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging energy technologies, regulations, and best practices.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to Energy Engineers and project teams.
• Support project execution from concept through completion with quality deliverables.
