This role combines deep building-systems expertise with clear communication and project leadership.

The position involves 40-hour weeks, travel to field sites, and opportunities to mentor staff while delivering high-impact decarbonization projects across an evolving portfolio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or related engineering field required.
• Minimum 7 years of experience with HVAC systems in large multi-family or commercial buildings.
• Strong project management skills including scope, schedule, budgets, and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical and client-facing lead for commissioning and decarbonization projects in Massachusetts.
• Lead project scoping, fee development, proposals, staffing plans and go/no-go decisions.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, resources, deliverables, and client expectations across multiple projects.
• Lead commissioning for new construction and existing buildings from design through occupancy and warranty.
• Lead building evaluations to reduce operational carbon and improve IAQ and maintainability.
• Translate complex findings into concise, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and represent SWA in industry groups and training.
