Job Title: Senior Energy Engineer

Location: New York City, NY

Role: In Person (Must be located or willing to relocate to the NYC area)

About the Role:

We are seeking a proactive, high-performing Senior Energy Engineer to join their team. This role requires a motivated self-starter with strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills, capable of working directly with client leadership and project stakeholders with minimal supervision. The Senior Energy Engineer will play a key role in delivering high-value solutions for critical facilities across healthcare, higher education, life sciences, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough, timely energy analyses with strong technical accuracy.
• Develop and utilize energy models using both software and spreadsheets.
• Apply knowledge of energy economics to support project recommendations and client decision-making.
• Lead and participate in energy audits and retro-commissioning processes.
• Consistently meet project deadlines, while effectively delegating tasks to junior team members.
• Identify client value opportunities based on limited information and define logical, actionable project roadmaps aligned with client objectives.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, technical teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project development and implementation.
• Support project and program delivery through clear, collaborative engagement with internal and external partners.
• Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicable technical tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certifications such as PE, CEM, or other relevant energy/engineering credentials.
• Experience working with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS).
• Familiarity with NY/NJ utility incentive programs (e.g. ConEd, NYSERDA, NJ SmartStart).
• Knowledge of energy project financing and funding mechanisms.
