Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an ESG consultant to develop energy-saving strategies and perform ASHRAE audits for commercial real estate across the United States. You will lead data-driven analyses in Excel, prepare cost estimates, and create client-facing reports in collaboration with engineers and other specialists.

The role requires strong communication, project management, and analytical skills, with travel up to 12 days per month.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (math, engineering, or science) or related work experience.
  • 5-8 years of applicable work experience in a related field.
  • Experience developing decarbonization strategies, including energy efficiency, renewable energy, green power procurement, RECs, and carbon offsets, preferably in commercial real estate.
  • Comfort managing data-driven tasks in Excel and other software platforms, including complex calculations and estimation methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Ability to lead internal and client meetings.
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 12 days per month.

Responsibilities

  • Develop energy-saving strategies and decarbonization initiatives for existing buildings.
  • Calculate energy and cost savings and ROI using spreadsheets and other tools.
  • Prepare preliminary cost estimates for recommended measures.
  • Perform ASHRAE Level I and II Energy Audits.
  • Support retro-commissioning of existing buildings.
  • Consult with clients and engineers on climate control systems, energy modeling, and sustainable design.
  • Understand energy-efficiency ordinances across cities and states.
  • Review ARCH and MEP drawings for existing buildings and systems.
  • Support applications for utility and local incentives.
  • Produce technical and non-technical reports for program compliance and ownership review.
  • Support project teams on client engagements and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams.
  • Review project deliverables for accuracy, timeliness, budget, and client needs.
  • Participate in business development to grow Cushman & Wakefield's ESG practice.
  • Help shape the ESG practice and perform other assigned duties.

Job description
