Job summary

Hillwood Energy, a Perot Company, is seeking a Senior Accountant in Fort Worth, Texas to support financial reporting across a diverse energy portfolio. Responsibilities include preparing statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and covenant calculations.

The successful candidate will apply U.S. GAAP, strengthen internal controls, and collaborate with Finance, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Operations. A CPA and 2–5 years oil & gas accounting experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
• 2-5 years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Oil and gas industry exposure required, gained through public accounting or direct accounting experience.
• Experience with oil and gas accounting concepts, partnership structures, and multi-entity financial reporting preferred.
• Experience leveraging emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools to enhance research, analysis, reporting efficiency, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, footnote disclosures, and schedules for multiple entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, income statement variance analyses, and account analyses.
• Maintain recurring schedules and rollforwards for significant accounts and equity balances.
• Prepare quarterly lender covenant calculations and compliance certificates.
