Job summary

Hillwood Energy is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Fort Worth, Texas team. You will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and integrity of financial reporting across a diverse portfolio of domestic and international energy investments.

You will conduct technical accounting research, prepare financial statements, support internal controls, and collaborate with Finance, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and Operations to enable informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Solid accounting fundamentals and US GAAP expertise required.
• Ability to connect accounting results to business drivers across energy investments.
• Strong attention to detail and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and footnotes for multiple entities under US GAAP.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and account analyses.
• Maintain schedules and rollforwards for significant accounts and equity balances.
• Prepare quarterly lender covenant calculations and supporting docs.
• Analyze results and provide insights to leadership on trends and performance.
• Support external audit and coordinate with auditors.
• Research and apply accounting guidance for new transactions and standards.
• Support internal controls design and continuous improvement.
• Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance reporting.
• Develop and maintain reporting tools and dashboards for decision making.
