Job summary

Paligen Technologies, based in Tampa, seeks a Sr. Process Engineer (Energetics) to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for energetic materials.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance in high-risk environments. The role requires expertise in process design, optimization, and risk assessment, with a track record in handling energetic materials and executing capital projects while maintaining strict safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years in a process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or similar role; 3+ years in energetic materials.
• Strong knowledge of process design, optimization, and control.
• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies including RCA.
• Experience with explosive materials safety systems, controls, and requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of OHSA PSM and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize industrial manufacturing processes and systems.
• Lead capital projects and manage process technologies, logistics, and flow.
• Conduct simulations and analyses to improve performance and reduce waste.
• Provide technical support and resolve process-related issues for production teams.
• Perform risk assessments and support safety training; ensure compliance with standards.
