Job summary

Leidos in Reston, VA, is seeking a Principal Endpoint Security Systems Engineer to join our Cyber Security Engineering team. You will design, deploy, maintain, and upgrade endpoint security capabilities across Linux and Windows mission systems in a hybrid cloud/on-prem environment, with opportunities for cross-training on security tools.

The role requires strong experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator and Trellix Endpoint Threat Protection, plus a TS/SCI with polygraph.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required.
Experience with Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator and Trellix Endpoint Threat Protection.
Experience maintaining Linux and Windows mission systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Maintain and upgrade central management consoles (Trellix).
Integrate Linux/Windows mission servers with the management console.
Deploy Trellix Endpoint Threat Protection updates and tune scan policies.
Troubleshoot integration issues with mission teams.
Automate performance improvements for endpoint security in hybrid environments.
Integrate scan results with external reporting tools like Splunk or AppDynamics.
Investigate malware findings on mission servers.
