Job summary

Orlando Health Digestive Health Institute in Downtown Orlando is seeking an Advanced Endoscopy Technician II to support physicians during complex GI procedures and to assist with research and teaching activities. The role requires strong technical and analytical abilities, aseptic technique, and the ability to work under pressure in ER/ICU settings.

Duties include equipment setup, specimen handling, and collaboration with the GI unit team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3 Years of clinical experience required.
• Solid experience with scope reprocessing is required.
• BLS/Healthcare Provider certification required.
• POEM/ESD/ERCP/EUS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the endoscopist during complex procedures (ERCP, EUS, ESD, EMR, RF ablation, etc.).
• Sets up cautery settings for interventional procedures.
• Mixes agents for endoscopic procedures in correct proportions.
• Provides endoscopic support for emergencies in OR/ICU/ER.
• Operates AV equipment for recording teaching cases.
• Prepares procedural suites and ensures equipment availability.
• Transports and delivers items and medications within the facility.
• Maintains and reprocesses endoscopic equipment.
• Assists with research procedures and product development.
