Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. Consumer & Community Bank Legal team is seeking an Employment Counsel to oversee a diverse docket of employment matters. The role involves providing strategic legal counsel, HR policy review, and collaboration with HR and other teams across the firm.

You will manage outside counsel, assess risks, and support cross-business workforce projects while upholding integrity and compliance in a world-class financial institution.

Qualifications

• JD required and active bar admission in relevant jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of post-JD employment litigation experience in major firm or large in-house setting.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment discrimination statutes and claims.

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of employment cases from pre-litigation through hearing/trial across multiple jurisdictions.
• Investigate allegations and oversee outside counsel in employment litigation matters.
• Provide strategic legal counsel and risk assessments to internal stakeholders.
• Prepare and update HR policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Advise on wage/hour, discrimination statutes, and employment agreements.
