Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an Employment Counsel to join the Consumer & Community Bank Legal team. You will oversee a diverse docket of employment matters, advise internal clients, and shape workforce policies across jurisdictions and forums.

You will collaborate with HR and cross‑business teams, manage outside counsel, and deliver strategic risk assessments and guidance on discrimination statutes, wage and hour issues, and confidentiality matters in a high‑profile financial services environment.

Qualifications

• JD and bar admission in good standing
• 3+ years of employment litigation experience
• Knowledge of state and federal employment statutes
• Experience with policy development and HR documentation
• Experience with eDiscovery/ESI and legal research platforms
• Strong communication and client relationship skills
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Lexis/Westlaw

Responsibilities

• Manage a docket of employment cases from pre-litigation through hearing/trial in various jurisdictions and forums.
• Oversee outside counsel and provide strategic risk assessments on employment litigation matters.
• Advise on HR policies, procedures, agreements, and documentation.
• Counsel on state and federal employment discrimination statutes and common law claims.
• Handle wage and hour issues, employee discipline, terminations, and investigations.
• Collaborate with HR and other teams on cross‑line of business workforce projects.
• Utilize eDiscovery/ESI tools and manage case documentation efficiently.
• Leverage legal technology to drive operational excellence across the Corporate Sector.
