Mastercard Inc. in Purchase, NY seeks a Senior Counsel, Employment Law to provide U.S. and global employment-law support within a fast-moving, inclusive culture. You will counsel on hiring, wage-hour, benefits, and a range of employee matters while collaborating with the P&C team.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in-office on average) and reports to the Global Employment Law group, partnering with Region Counsel and outside counsel to deliver practical, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• J.D. from accredited law school; member in good standing of the New York Bar.
• Solid employment law experience with in-house and global exposure preferred.
• Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide U.S. employment law advice and practical counsel for Mastercard’s U.S. and global businesses.
• Counsel on recruiting, wage-hour, benefits, leaves, terminations, and other employee matters; manage investigations and disputes.
• Negotiate and draft complex employment agreements and related documents.
• Advise on M&A employment and benefits considerations and integration steps.
• Collaborate with P&C and outside counsel to scale and improve deliverables.
