Mastercard in Purchase, NY is seeking a Senior Counsel, Employment Law to support the global employment law function within the Law Department. The role focuses on providing strategic, practical advice for US employment law matters to enable business initiatives across the organization.

You will collaborate with P&C and regional teams, advise on complex personnel issues, and help align policies with local laws and corporate philosophies.

Qualifications

• J.D. from accredited law school; member in good standing of the New York Bar.
• Solid employment law experience with in-house and global exposure preferred.
• Strong ability to partner with stakeholders in a matrixed global organization.
• Analytical, strategic and solution-oriented mindset with proactive problem solving.
• Experience negotiating complex employment contracts and advising on regulatory matters.

Responsabilités

• Serve as a U.S. employment law expert with a global mindset, providing timely, compliant legal advice tailored for Mastercard.
• Support US employment law aspects of integrations, coordinating with Region Counsel.
• Counsel on a wide range of people matters including recruitment, leave management, compensation, and mobility.
• Negotiate and draft employment contracts, offers, and other employment documents.
