The Employee Relations Team (#TeamFoodie) is a group who enjoy all things food. The Senior ER Consultant provides expert-level consultation and guidance on disciplinary actions, grievances, performance management, conflict resolution, ADA, unemployment, County policies, and state and federal employment laws.

The Consultant’s day includes:

  • Proactively identifying and analyzing associated risks involved in specific employment situations and providing collaborative recommendations to identify risk/reward strategies
  • Conducting Title VII related investigations
  • Analyzing ER data, performing compliance risk assessments, and identifying and recommending new and creative solutions

This position is 90% remote and may be required to be available on site in downtown Raleigh at various times; therefore, the Consultant must reside within close proximity to Raleigh (within 3 hours).

The Basics (Required Education and Experience)
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field
  • Four years of experience in human resources administration
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted
  • Please include ALL prior work experience on your application and resume.
Beyond the Basics (Preferred Education and Experience)
  • Four or more years of professional experience in an employee relations role
  • Relevant certifications such as PHR or SPHR
  • Experience in employee relations within local or state government
  • Experience in employee relations within a large organization
