Job summary

Alliant Insurance Services is seeking an experienced underwriting analyst to execute advanced pricing and analysis, and to lead a team of underwriting professionals. The role involves collaborating with clients and the Financial & Underwriting teams to deliver strategic pricing projects and data-driven insights.

You will oversee pricing models, ensure accurate reporting, and manage cross-functional initiatives across health, dental, and vision programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Eight (8) or more years of related work experience.
• One (1) or more years of management experience in leading a team of at least 3 individuals.
• Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject matter expert in all major areas of underwriting, including special pricing and marketing projects.
• Meet with clients and Financial & Underwriting team to define and accomplish projects.
• Assist in determining strategic goals of team(s), including resource planning, education/training needs, policy development, and business growth.
• Identify, coordinate, and manage external business partner relationships (carriers, consultants, TPAs, vendors).
• Understand actuarial plan values and tools used in pricing and analysis projects; use relevant software.
• Understand underwriting models and reporting templates to meet customer needs.
• Lead and manage all client underwriting projects and present analyses to clients.
• Assist in prospecting activities such as RFP responses and presentations.
• Maintain data tracking and reporting for financial management, models, and client reports.
