Job summary

Hirschler, a dynamic law firm headquartered in Richmond, VA, seeks an experienced Employee Benefits Attorney to join our Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation team. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits, ERISA, and related tax matters.
• Strong drafting, analytical, communication, and client counseling skills.
• Ability to advise on complex retirement and welfare plans and ESOP matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise on design, implementation, administration, and compliance of retirement and welfare plans.
• Counsel on ERISA fiduciary obligations and plan governance issues.
• Draft and negotiate executive employment and severance agreements and equity plans.
• Assist with benefits matters in mergers, acquisitions, and financings.
• Represent clients in IRS/DOL matters and compliance reviews.
