Job summary

City of Memphis is seeking an experienced Emergency Management leader to develop, coordinate, and oversee emergency/disaster plans for the City. You will supervise specialists, provide prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and recovery support, and coordinate with partners to execute training and exercises.

The role involves serving as Planning Section Chief during EOC activations, collaborating with schools and businesses, ensuring compliance with laws, and managing grant preparation

Qualifications

• High school diploma and eight (8) years in emergency management or firefighting activities, or any combination of experience and training which enables one to perform the essential job functions.

Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibilities of OEM Manager as necessary.
• Performs additional functions (essential or otherwise) which may be assigned.
