Job summary

Broward County is seeking an Emergency Management Specialist, Senior to lead municipal coordination and support within the Emergency Operations Center (EOC). The role focuses on credentialing, training, and developing emergency plans and procedures for diverse partners.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least four years of emergency management planning experience, with on-call recall during disasters and potential weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; experience may substitute for education.
• 4+ years of emergency management planning experience in an emergency management agency.

Responsibilities

• Direct municipal branch and coordinate with Broward County partners.
• Provide credentialing support for EOC personnel.
• Develop and update emergency management plans, SOPs and guides.
• Deliver training to municipal and regional representatives and conduct exercises.
• Review plans for healthcare facilities and respond to disaster events as needed.
• Supervise staff and provide performance feedback.
