Job summary

Jet Propulsion Laboratory seeks an EMC Test Specialist to lead high‑complexity EMC testing on flight hardware and R&D tasks. You will set up procedures, review results, and provide validated data for engineering decisions across multiple EMC labs and fixtures.

Responsibilities include data processing, lab maintenance, RF component checks, and building ground support equipment with expert fabrication and assembly skills. On‑site Pasadena role with demanding schedules.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 10+ years related experience or an associate/bachelor degree with progressive experience.
• Experience in EMC testing per MIL-STD-461/462 and related standards.
• Ability to independently perform EMC tests, instrument checkouts and calibrations.
• Experience using Tile! EMC software to create and execute test profiles.
• Proficiency with a range of RF measurement equipment and analyzers.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex EMC tests on flight hardware and R&D tasks with minimal supervision.
• Set up, run, and interpret EMC tests including radiated and conducted categories.
• Process, review, and finalize data for engineering reporting.
• Maintain and organize lab facilities, calibration, and inventory.
• Operate and troubleshoot RF components across multiple labs and antennas.
• Support construction/modification of mechanical/electronic ground support equipment.
