Job summary

Brightworks Sustainability LLC is seeking a Senior Materials Specialist to lead complex projects, mentor staff, and deliver materials-focused analysis for clients aiming at circularity, embodied carbon reduction, health, and equity.

The role involves working on building and portfolio-scale projects, with a focus on procurement decisions and long-term client relationships. Eligible US work status is required, with a hybrid schedule across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, sustainability, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in sustainability project management or related field
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client-facing projects and collaborate with senior staff to clarify high-level client goals, staffing resources, project budget, and deliverables.
• Supervise and mentor internal team members to build capabilities and deliver projects on time and within scope.
• QA/QC the delivery of technical analyses, presentations, and client deliverables within scope, on budget, on schedule.
• Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients, practice area leaders, and influencers in the industry.
• Maintain project financials, contracting, invoicing, and time/expense approvals per firm timelines.
