Job summary

Brightworks Sustainability is seeking a Senior Materials Specialist to lead complex materials-focused analysis and strategic consulting for clients targeting circularity, embodied carbon reduction, health, and equity. You will mentor staff, ensure QA/QC, and cultivate long-term client relationships.

The role spans building- and portfolio-scale projects, shaping tailored procurement approaches while guiding clients through programmatic advancement. Hybrid US-based position with some travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, environmental science, sustainability, or related field.
• 6+ years of related experience in sustainability project management or similar.
• Experience leading complex client-facing projects and cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex client-facing projects and coordinate with senior staff on goals, budget, and deliverables.
• Supervise and mentor team members to deliver projects on time, within scope and budget.
• QA/QC the delivery of technical analyses, presentations and client deliverables.
