Brightworks Sustainability in New York is seeking a Senior Materials Specialist to lead complex projects and provide materials-focused analysis that supports circularity, embodied carbon, health, and equity.

You will mentor staff, ensure QA/QC, manage client relationships, and develop tailored strategies for sustainable procurement across buildings and portfolios.

The role combines technical delivery with business development in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering, architecture, environmental science, sustainability, or planning.
• 6+ years of related experience in sustainability project management or a similar role.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Responsabilités

• Lead complex client-facing projects and collaborate with senior staff on goals, staffing, budgets and deliverables.
• Supervise and mentor internal team to deliver quality work on time and within scope.
• QA/QC the delivery of analyses, presentations and client deliverables.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Manage project financials, invoicing, timesheets, and expenses per firm timelines.
• Support business development and contribute to project wins and profitability.
• Foster knowledge sharing and firm innovations to advance sustainability practice.
