Job summary

FORT Robotics is seeking a Sr. Embedded Software Engineer-Test Automation to advance autonomous and robotic machines.

You will design automated tests, build end-to-end validation frameworks, and enable seamless transition from design to volume manufacturing. You will collaborate with hardware and software teams, execute regression and performance tests, and support production and customer deployments, with up to 20% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and implementing tests for complex embedded products.
• 2+ years in embedded software test automation and test framework development.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash for software testing and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop test methods and procedures to transition products from design into volume manufacturing; design automated tests, frameworks, and fixtures for software/hardware validation.
• Execute regression, performance, stress, and reliability tests; establish plans and documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware and software design teams to identify and resolve firmware and hardware issues.
• Contribute to design reviews, defining testability requirements early in development.
• Support R&D test environments and help maintain production test processes with partners.
• Assist production and program management with technical expertise for customer deliveries.
• Contribute to re-engineering of current designs to improve quality and manufacturability.
• Work with customers on-site (10–20% travel) to enable success.
